Senior Process Engineer

Overview :

Our client is a global leader in precision injection molding, complex assembly, and contract manufacturing, serving the consumer packaging, healthcare, and specialty industrial sectors.

They were founded in 1983 in the US and now operate 12 manufacturing facilities across the world.

They are looking to add a

Senior Process Engineer

to their expanding team in Longford, Ireland.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in injection moulding.

Responsibilities :

As a Senior Process Engineer your responsibilities will include to assist the Engineering / Production department in improving the manufacturing of product and develop the most optimum molding process and tooling and automation that meets or exceeds customer requirements on both new and existing tooling.

Responsible for the introduction of all new products into the company and compiling standard specifications for each process and monitoring all existing production to standard specifications.

Coordinate the development of documentation in the Production and Technical areas in line with IS09001 : 2000 and ISO 13485 requirements and review the systems with the Group Leaders and the Quality department on a regular basis to ensure conformance to same.

Establishes relationships with the customers and Equipment / Raw Material suppliers in pursuit of continuous improvement and on-going business development.

Ensures process optimization using statistical techniques.

Requirements :

Must have a minimum of a National Diploma in Plastics Engineering (Preferably a Degree in Plastics Engineering) and at least 4-5 years' experience in the injection molding industry.

Must have a very good knowledge of Injection Mold tooling and design.

Must have a very good knowledge of Injection Molding (standard process and Multi component), Processing, Ancillary equipment and automation systems.

Preferably worked in either the Medical, Packaging or technological industries.

Preferably have some knowledge of Real time monitoring systems.
