About the Position We are looking for an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join busy Housekeeping team in Dublin. This role will be key to ensuring that our quality and service standards continue to make a difference in our guests' experience. About the Person Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor in a very busy 4/5* luxury hotel. You must be legally permitted to work 40 hours a week in Ireland PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES To promote a helpful and professional image to the client and give the full co-operation to any customer requiring assistance, with a prompt caring and helpful attitude. To train employees to the standards of the hotel. To strive to anticipate client needs whenever possible to enhance quality service and in turn enhance client satisfaction. To give full co-operation to any colleague requiring assistance in a prompt, caring, helpful manner and to be flexible in assisting around the hotel in response to business and client. To assist management in maintaining regular and effective communication within the team and attend hotel meetings when required. To assist in creating an environment which promotes staff morale and encourages employees to have a pride in the area and their skills ensuring maximum, efficiency. To address development needs identified from appraisal with management and to maximise use of areas of strength. To assist management in appraising staff using the guidelines provided. To positively promote sales awareness within the standards set under the direction of management. To assist in control of operating costs within the hotel. To identify and report any hazards or maintenance requirements in the work place to management. To comply with statutory and legal requirements for fires, health and safety licensing and employment and to ensure employee are also aware of these requirements and working in accordance to them. To assist in the smooth running of the department while on shift. To report all issues to the Accommodation Manager in order that relevant action can be taken. To ensure that staff have adequate supply of working tools and utensils to carry out their jobs to meet and exceed all standards. To ensure all guest rooms are serviced to the required hotel standard. To check room after cleaning to ensure the bove To move furniture/appliances where needed to assist meeting the required standard. To retrain staff if there are gaps in their standard of cleaning To ensure lost property is processed as per hotel procedure. To carry out monthly stock takes To relocate stock when required. To complete employee rotas and timesheets. To maintain hotel plants and floral arrangements where required. To order and maintain hotel linen stocks To organise staff daily duties and lists. To carry out any reasonable request by senior management To train staff in all aspects of their tole to the excellent standards expected in the hotel Salary: €34,320 per annum Meals on duty Bespoke uniforms Discounted accommodation rates at many of our international hotels.
