The Job : We are currently working alongside a growing manufacturing company based in Longford to hire 3 Automation Technician's to support the smooth operation of the production area. This role focuses on maintaining and optimizing automation equipment to ensure efficient manufacturing processes. This is a permanent, shift based position. Key Responsibilities : Diagnose and troubleshoot complex servo-driven systems, vacuum circuits, and automated machinery using digital multi-meters and technical documentation. Maintain and enhance existing automation systems to improve performance and reliability. Support production start-ups and changeovers, including tasks such as : Aligning and adjusting automation and robotic components Transferring equipment between presses Modifying stroke settings and replacing robot heads Learn and apply basic programming changes to robotic systems and automation equipment. Repair or replace mechanical and electrical components as needed. Collaborate with engineering and other departments to install and implement new automation solutions. Requirements : Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn injection molding, assembly, decorating, and robotic systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics, and mechanical drawings. Experience troubleshooting servo systems and vacuum circuits. Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery (preferred). Basic computer skills and effective communication abilities. Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills.
