This a full time on-site position.
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Technical Officer will be involved in maintaining and managing core elements of the sites technical program for the Clonmel Road (Cheddar) site.
They will ensure compliance with internal standards, food safety standards and customer requirements.
The Technical Officer is a key support role to the site team and is recognised as a key player within the site team.
The key role of the Technical Officer is to monitor compliance, report on metrics and improve the site systems.
Core responsibilities for this role include : These are the core responsibilities associated with your role for which you will be held accountable : Safety - Promote a Food and Health & Safety culture within the site and set and monitor adherence to all Quality and Environmental, Health & Safety standards and procedures.
Customer - Customer complaints and implementing actions ex audits, PSs.
Quality - RFT, Hygiene, Incident reporting and Change Control.
Reporting issues to your manager, compliant to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Obey all hygiene rules & take part in training.
Food safety is your responsibility.
Systems - Develop and update as required policies, procedures and risk assessments to meet the requirements of BRC or FSSC.
Management - the site sampling, testing, investigating and treading.
Focus - on product process, release and grading.
Process Technical Management - recipe setting, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) trending and analysis to ensure the process is under control.
Technical support to Production Team regarding Problem Solving and troubleshooting of Plants.
Continuous Improvement Projects - cost reduction and process optimisation to improve Right First Time (RFT).
What you will bring to Dairygold / We want to hear from you if you have : 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline (Food Science & Technology, Microbiology); Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
Team Player Ability to work on own initiative.
A positive, can-do, resilient, and flexible attitude.
Excellent technical competence with the capacity to effectively analyse issues and problem solve in accordance with our CI philosophy.
Attention to detail and a completer / finisher.
A questioning mentality with the objective of driving best practice.
