The Role The practice is seeking to appoint a Qualified Accountant to join its expanding team. The position is flexible and can be structured to suit candidates who wish to focus purely on accounts and advisory work, or those who would like to include audit assignments as part of their role. You will manage a diverse SME and owner-managed client portfolio while developing your expertise across accounts preparation, advisory services, and audit (if desired). Key Responsibilities Preparation and review of statutory financial statements for SME and owner-managed clients Preparation and review of monthly and quarterly management accounts Corporation tax computations and collaboration with internal tax teams Acting as a primary point of contact for client queries and relationship management Participation in audit engagements where applicable or requested Supervision, training, and mentoring of junior team members Liaising with managers and partners on client delivery and deadlines Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements Note: Candidates without audit experience will not be required to undertake audit work unless they wish to develop in this area. Candidate Profile Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) Practice-trained background strongly preferred Audit experience beneficial but not essential Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills Client-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and workloads effectively Motivated, collaborative, and commercially aware with a desire to progress within practice This role offers genuine flexibility, strong mentorship, and the opportunity to build a long-term career within a reputable and expanding regional practice.
