Security engineer

Job Description : Our client in the cybersecurity sector is seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen their IT security team.

This is a permanent role based in Dublin with hybrid working.

Job Responsibilities : Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents.

Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests.

Implement security controls and best practices.

Support audits and compliance initiatives (ISO, PCI, GDPR).

Train staff on security awareness and practices.

Experience Required : 4+ years experience in IT security roles.

Knowledge of SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint protection.

Experience with incident response and forensic analysis.

Familiarity with security frameworks and regulations.

Desirable Skills : Certifications (CISSP, CEH, CISM, or equivalent).

Cloud security experience (AWS, Azure).

Scripting knowledge for automation.

Educational Requirements : Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related discipline.
