As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join their team on a key public works project based in Portlaoise.

Role Overview : As a Setting Out Engineer, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day management of site operations.

You will be responsible for accurate setting out, surveying, and providing technical support to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities : Setting out, levelling, and surveying the site in accordance with project specifications.

Interpret project drawings and technical specifications to ensure correct execution.

Liaise with the site team, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.

Monitor and record progress on-site, ensuring adherence to design and safety standards.

Assist in the preparation of method statements and risk assessments.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, procedures, and quality assurance.

Provide technical input during the planning and implementation of the works.

Requirements : Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Minimum 23 years experience in a setting out role on civil engineering or public works projects.

Strong knowledge of surveying instruments (e.g., GPS, Total Station, Auto CAD).

Excellent understanding of construction drawings and technical documentation.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Full clean driving licence.

Right to work in Ireland.
