Job descriptionProven experience as a setting out engineer with either a developer or main contractor Proficient in the use of Auto CAD and operation of total stations and other surveying equipment Strong leadership skills Key eye for detail is essential Strong knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations Excellent communication and organisational skills Strong initiative, self-motivated and communication skills
Job Spec : Setting Out Engineer
Salary : TBC
Desired Experience : 5 years + experience
DUTIES :
- Carry out setting out works and other engineering principles
- Providing support and information to both the project and contract management team as well as teams on the ground
- Assist the site manager in managing the full project scope
- Requesting technical information from both the design team and specialist sub contractors
- Carry out QA checks, temporary works checks, temporary works coordination.
- Assist in the over seining of Health & Safety policy on site
- Assisting the site management team with ordering of materials and take offs
- Look after other key materials on site such as steel reinforcement call off and submittals as well as scheduling these to site in a timely fashion
- Conduct regular inspections to monitor quality, address defects, and ensure work aligns with project specifications.
- Maintain detailed daily logs, prepare progress reports, and manage quality control documentation.
