Town Planner

Town Planner and Senior PlannerOverviewPenguin Recruitment are working with Ireland's largest Planning and Environmental consultancy, seeking a Planning Practitioner to join our Planning team.

The successful candidate will work on diverse projects in commercial development, residential, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Galway or Dublin.

ResponsibilitiesLead planner on medium to large-scale planning projectsDraft and review planning reports and documentationProject manage including budget, stakeholders, and design team membersMentor junior staffUndertake background research, field visits, and prepare planning assessmentsEngage with relevant authorities and stakeholders in planning projectsDeliver project outputs within set deadlinesQualificationsQualification in Town Planning (IPI or RTPI Accredited)Minimum 3 years' experience in planning consultancy or similarExcellent report writing skillsExcellent working knowledge of the Irish planning system and relevant legislationCommercial awarenessDay-to-dayThe successful candidate will work on a wide variety of projects, utilizing their skills acquired through formal training and previous work experience.

They will lead on planning projects, interact with project stakeholders, and deliver high-quality project outputs within set deadlines.
