As Security Solutions Engineer (SE), you are responsible for identifying and engaging with key customer technical decision makers and influencers, as well as collaborating with the sales team and supporting the development of sales strategy. Uses customer context, security expertise, and industry knowledge to deliver technical solutions. Utilises available resources efficiently and works with partners within the Microsoft ecosystem. Shares competitive insights to support strategic selling and escalation activities. Develops cross-workload and account-level strategies by identifying market trends and providing feedback to business groups.

Qualifications
Required / minimum qualifications
- Extensive demonstratable technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience and OR master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Solid experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, Information Security, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and / or technology management
Additional or preferred qualifications
Relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms of similar product (e.g., SC900, SC100-400) #CELA
Responsibilities
Scale Customer Engagements
Utilises knowledge of resources and engages product teams to address blockers by communicating their impact.Proactively connects with customers independently.Drives technical wins for across workloads by leading customer discussions, defining team roles and handoffs, and leveraging relevant processes, tools, and programs; seeks customer references for engagements.Applies understanding of customer context and technical expertise to establish credibility.Build Strategy
Collaborates with account and marketing teams to develop win and customer success plans, adapting Microsoft messaging to the audience by referencing customer feedback, Microsoft solutions, and their position in the competitive landscape.Collects essential competitive information and communicates it to product and engineering teams to support team capabilities and inform strategies for assigned customers.Offers input on strategy development at the account level, using knowledge of partners, competitors, or open-source resources alongside Microsoft’s capabilities.Shares security best practices and regularly presents information at Microsoft events, providing guidance on ways to improve understanding of the solutions portfolio.Solution Design and Proof
Presents architecture patterns to customers and drives support for Microsoft Solutions across workloads.Uses advanced sales techniques and guides the team in helping customers with digital transformation by aligning technology to business needs.Oversees product and service demos, including design and POC sessions, utilizing partner or customer teams as needed to showcase integration.Education
Monitors and responds to internal tech community posts, attends community calls, sessions, hackathons, etc., and acts as a mentor for their technology area.Demonstrates new and updated products to increase internal virtual teams' understanding of solutions and new opportunities.Builds their own readiness plan and proactively identifies learning gaps. Grows domain knowledge and practices expertise by communicating with customers, partners, and senior colleagues to expand knowledge of architecture.Leverage Partner Ecosystem
