Senior GL Accountant [12 month Fixed Term Contract]

The Senior GL Accountant Fixed Term will proactively take responsibility for all aspects of transactional accounting and reporting being active support to the GL Managers and Controllers to ensure all aspects of transactional accounting and reporting. They will ensure the correct recording of all assets & liabilities and costs & revenues and maintaining a complete list of reserves to comply with both internal and statutory reporting requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Prepare and process GL monthly journals entries with sufficient support documentations providing a clear audit trail.

• Ensures all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and analysed on a monthly basis.

• Perform Accrual entries on a aged basis and document review on a monthly basis.

• Manage the timely review/reversal of Accruals and collaborate with the cross functional team for resolution.

• Manage the clearing process for specific large balances.

• Coordinate the completion of the monthly/quarterly/yearly intercompany account reconciliation and resolutions maintaining intercompany accounts where needed.

• Coordinate monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliations resolution of exceptions and collaborate with the cross functional team.

• Prepare monthly reports quarterly and year end packages.

• Instruct and work daily with Local Financial/Statistical Reporting Agency.

• Ensures the monthly P&L / Balance sheet reviews have local management signoff where this is in place management.

• Respond to the primary Auditor requests (external and internal) and audit files.

• Assists with the preparation of the corporation tax pack ensuring all required details are captured on time.

• Responsible for the preparation of Statutory Accounts.

• Develop/implement processes and procedures to improve the regular basis of applicability.

• Ad-hoc duties as requested by manager.

• Ensure that processes comply with internal SOX controls.

• Ensure requested information is sent to third party providers.

• Ensure all necessary information is maintained as per theFINMATransaction Reporting Act (FAR) and adhere to the rules.

Qualifications

• Excellent team working skills with an international environment.

• Experience with multi-currency transactions.

• An excellent and qualified accountant with strong accounting principles and concepts.

• Excellent communication skills and organisation skills for internal/external.

• Ability to work to deadlines and manage a workload with a can-do attitude and group structure.

• Proficiency in Excel and prior experience inSAPwould be an advantage.

• Good knowledge of US GAAP Local GAAP/IFRS.

• Good knowledge of corporate tax is essential for the role.
