Our client , a leader in the Advanced Manufacturing sector , is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their R&D team in South Dublin .     • Key Responsibilities

    Design and Development

  • Develop detailed electrical schematics and layouts for machinery using CAD tools.
  • Ensure the compatibility of electrical components with machine specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers to ensure seamless system integration.

    • Hands-On Electrical Work

  • Assemble, install, and test electrical systems and components during development and prototyping phases.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in systems under development.
  • Provide support for electrical assembly tasks , ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

    • Project Commissioning

  • Lead machine commissioning at customer sites, ensuring functionality and reliability.
  • Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during and after commissioning.
  • Train customers on the operation and maintenance of electrical systems.

    • Documentation and Compliance

  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation , including schematics, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
  • Ensure all designs and installations comply with EN 60204 electrical standards and relevant regulations.
  • Keep detailed records of system designs and modifications for future reference.

    • Collaboration and Communication

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with customers , suppliers , and internal teams to address technical requirements.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to the R&D Manager .

    • Requirements

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical design and hands-on work , ideally in the pharmaceutical or similar industries.

    • Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical standards and regulations, particularly EN 60204 .
  • Experience working with PLCs , HMIs , and industrial control systems .

    • Key Strengths

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

    • Other Requirements

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% , including internationally.
