Early Years Educator / Aim Support

Overview

Aghada Community Playgroup is a sessional and full day care preschool service.

We offer two sessions in the morning and one in the afternoon, as well as full daycare after the morning sessions.

Each session caters for up to 18 children.

We provide care and education in line with Aistear, HighScope and Síolta.

Responsibilities

Provide AIM support within a classroom (alongside two keypersons) in the morning session and afternoon room.

Requirements / Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team

Knowledge of Aistear & Síolta Frameworks

Kind, caring and positive in interactions with children

Understanding of AIM support role

First Aid essential and Manual Handling an advantage

Appropriate Garda Vetting / Police Clearance essential

Knowledge of Child Protection

QQI Level 5 Childcare qualification (minimum requirement)

Details

The position starts immediately until June 2027 (term time)

Working hours : 30-35 hours per week

8 : 45am – 11 : 45am, Monday – Friday in the morning session, with additional hours in the afternoon room
