Responsibilities

Performing routine and specialized microbiological tests on clinical specimens.

Identifying and classifying microorganisms using various techniques.

Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment.

Ensuring compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards.

Documenting and managing test results and data.

Collaborating with medical professionals to interpret findings and support patient care.

Requirements

Bachelor\'s degree in Microbiology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.

CORU registration

Proven experience in a clinical microbiology laboratory.

Proficiency in microbiological techniques and procedures.

Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and quality control processes.

Full driving license and access to own car is desirable.

Resident in Ireland and legal right to work in Ireland without restriction.

All candidates will be required to undergo Garda Vetting.

International Police Clearance (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 moths after the age of 16).
