Housekeeping Operative Theatre-UPMC Aut Even Kilkenny Hospital Location : Aut Even Hospital Job type : Permanent Overview of role : UPMC Aut Even Kilkenny Hospital are recruiting a full time Theatre Housekeeping Operative to provide a high standard of cleaning across the assigned areas, ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for all staff, Patients & Visitors. Primary Duties and Responsibilities : Clean and maintain designated areas including offices, Corridors, Stairwells, Staff Rooms. Perform dusting, Mopping, Sweeping, Buffing. Clean toilets areas and replenish supplies. Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with site procedures.. Refill cleaning materials and report any low stock to the supervisor. Use cleaning machinery (e.g., floor buffer, vacuum cleaner) as required and trained supplied. Follow health and safety policies. Report maintenance issues or hazards to the relevant facilities dept. Ensure all cleaning is carried out to the required standards and completed within the allotted timeframe. Be Aware of cross-contamination to ensure your Trolley & Equipment are used in allocated area only and not in any other section of the hospital. Follow Colour Coding Policy strictly as it is detailed in the Cleaning S. O. Ps. Undertake training in all areas as required under the Clinic Training Policy. Report any concerns regarding Health & Safety to the Health & Safety Representative or your supervisor. Always maintain a professional and friendly approach to other work colleagues. Flexibility in working hours to ensure cover is provided during holidays and periods of sick leave. Always work as part of a team to ensure UPMC Values. Qualifications & Experience : Previous work experience is desirable Have knowledge of the relevant disciplines in the Hospital pertaining to Infection Control, Quality and Risk Management, Health & Safety. Demonstrate excellent listening and verbal communication skills. Display effective communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work with other disciplines Able to work under pressure and deliver results to tight deadlines. Willingness to adapt positively to change. Self-disciplined and ability to manage own time, to respond to changing priorities and workload to achieve targets.
