Senior Practice Accountant | Sme Firm | Dublin South Central

A fast growing and ambitious Accounting, Audit & Tax practice based in South / Central are currently looking to recruit an experienced and career-focused accountant to join the team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to progress very quickly within the firm.

Reporting to and working closely with the Partner the role will involve :

Responsibilities :

Managing a portfolio of clients which will include the following :

Assisting with the preparation of financial statements for SME businesses

Assisting with the preparation of audit and audit exempt files to monitoring review standard

Bookkeeping & payroll

Preparing VAT returns

Assisting with company formations and new business tax registrations

Preparing income tax and corporation tax returns

Filing Companies Registration Office returns

Management accounts

Projections, loan applications & grant applications

Supervision and mentoring of other staff

The successful candidate must have

at least three years practice experience

with a regulated accounting firm, have a clear focus on developing a long-term career in Practice and be a member of a recognized Accounting or Tax Institute.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications :

Ideally candidates will have familiarity with the following software packages :

Relate accounts production & Drive

Receipt bank / Autoentry / Sage / Surf / Quickbooks / Xero

Thesaurus payroll

Core & Ros essential

Candidates that can demonstrate strong commercial acumen awareness will have a distinct advantage.
