Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team for a major capital project in the pharmaceutical sector.
This senior-level role is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, and execution of all electrical engineering and control system activities.
The successful candidate will provide high-level oversight of the project schedule, lead the electrical design process, and ensure the seamless integration of critical systems, including Emerson Delta V (DCS) and Building Management Systems (BMS).
This position requires extensive experience in a c GMP environment and a proven ability to manage complex, large-scale projects from conception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities A.
High-Level Project & Schedule Management : Develop and manage the integrated master schedule for all electrical and controls-related deliverables, ensuring alignment with overall project milestones.
Provide strategic oversight of electrical project scope, budget, and resource allocation.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for all electrical matters, interfacing with clients, construction management, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate risks related to electrical design, procurement, and construction.
Design & Coordination : Lead and direct the electrical design for the facility, ensuring compliance with US electrical codes (NEC), c GMP standards, and client specifications.
Oversee the development of all electrical design documentation, including single-line diagrams, power distribution plans, instrumentation wiring, and control panel layouts.
Chair design review and coordination meetings with architectural, mechanical, process, and automation teams to ensure a cohesive and clash-free design.
Manage external engineering consultants and contractors, ensuring quality and adherence to project standards.
Delta V & BMS Systems Integration : Lead the strategic planning for the integration of the process electrical infrastructure with the Emerson Delta V Distributed Control System (DCS).
Collaborate closely with the automation / process control team to ensure electrical systems fully support the Delta V architecture, including power distribution for I / O cabinets, controllers, and network hardware.
Oversee the design and specification of the Building Management System (BMS), ensuring robust control over critical HVAC, environmental monitoring, and utility systems.
Ensure that the interface points between the BMS, Delta V, and other third-party packaged systems are clearly defined and seamlessly integrated.
Construction & Commissioning Oversight : Provide technical leadership during the construction, installation, and startup phases of the project.
Oversee the commissioning and qualification (IQ / OQ) of all electrical systems, ensuring they meet design intent and regulatory requirements.
Troubleshoot complex issues related to electrical systems and controls integration during project execution.
Required Qualifications & Experience Education : Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Experience : Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a lead or principal role.
Must have significant experience on large-scale capital projects within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industries.
Demonstrable experience on projects utilizing Emerson Delta V for process control.
In-depth knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) design, integration, and validation within a regulated environment.
Proven track record of managing project schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary coordination at a high level.
Licensure : A Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
Knowledge : Expert knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant US standards.
