Site Engineer

Job Title: Site Engineer Location: Arklow, Co. Wicklow Salary: € DOE Our client, an established contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join the delivery team on an 805-unit residential development in Arklow. Working as part of the site delivery team, the successful Site Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the engineering and technical aspects of the project are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with programme requirements. 18 Month Programme Candidate Requirements: Degree/Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related discipline. 1+ years' experience as a Site Engineer within the construction industry. Proven experience on residential developments, ideally multi-unit housing schemes. Strong setting-out and surveying experience. Experience working with Total Station, GPS and relevant surveying equipment. Commercial awareness and a practical approach to resolving site issues. A strong commitment to health & safety, quality and programme delivery. Full clean driving licence desirable. Key Responsibilities: Setting out and surveying works accurately in accordance with drawings and specifications. Establishing and maintaining site control points and benchmarks. Checking levels, dimensions and coordinates throughout the construction process. Reviewing construction drawings, specifications and technical information. Ensuring works are constructed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and relevant standards. Managing and coordinating subcontractor setting-out requirements. Supporting the management team with technical and engineering aspects of the project. Assisting with quality control, inspections and snagging throughout the development.
