EDC KEY STATS Founded in staff and growing Offices in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, London and Istanbul SECTORS Residential Student accommodation Commercial Hotels and leisure Healthcare Energy Education Pharmaceutical LOCATION : Limerick THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for a Senior Engineer who can lead change and mentor engineers within their team, ensuring best-in-class engineering.

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with EDC, you will have a thorough understanding of the theoretical and practical application of electrical engineering and a strong understanding of other disciplines offered by the company, while leading and managing the full electrical design on projects of all sizes.

Responsibilities : Lead and manage full electrical design on projects of all sizes, always demonstrating client care.

Provide quality control for electrical engineering projects across all offices.

Undertake project cost control.

Manage project teams and cross-functional teams within the organisational structure.

Travel to client and project locations as required for meetings, surveys and training.

Follow EDCs Environmental Management System (EMS), including all related environmental policies, procedures and training, performing duties in a manner that supports the companys environmental objectives and sustainability commitments.

Liaise and collaborate with other EDC offices as appropriate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum degree level in Electrical Engineering.

6+ years Building Services Consultancy design experience.

Proven experience in delivering detailed designs through the full design cycle.

Expert user of Amtech and Relux / Dialux.

BIM experience advantageous.

Chartership desirable.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Thorough understanding of the theoretical and practical application of electrical engineering and strong understanding of other disciplines offered by the company.

Expert knowledge and experience in : lighting and emergency lighting, small power and data, fire alarms, CCTV and intruder alarms, MV / LV power distribution, containment and BMS.

Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and to prioritise and plan work.

Good understanding of other building disciplines in the design and installation of buildings.

Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

Ability to lead projects internally and externally and be responsible for project performance, including client satisfaction, profitability and maintaining EDCs reputation to enable repeat work.

Leadership qualities while working as part of a team.

Ability to make prompt, disciplined project decisions.

Commercial awareness.
