Contract type : 12-month FTC - Maternity Cover

A snapshot of your peer group :

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

Minimum of three years' experience of working in a finance role preferably involving producing management accounts

Good understanding of prepayments / accruals accounting processes

Must have strong variance analysis experience

Experience of month end closing including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations and management report production

Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyse data

Team player and highly collaborative

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Agile and flexible attitude to meet changing priorities

Strong deadline awareness and time management skills

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to manage confidential information with discretion

Intermediate / Advanced excel skills

AFO (Analysis for Office) experience is desirable but not essential

Professional services experience is desirable but not essential

Here is what you can initially expect :

Month end processes including posting of journal entries, accruals and prepayments

Account Variance analyses and cost classifications

P&L Analysis for Business owners

Balance sheet reconciliations

Publication of profit and loss reports and management accounts

Production of insightful and value add reports for the business

Supporting the budgeting and reforecasting process

Project support as required

Providing ad hoc support internally in finance and to the business

Your team :

You will be joining the Financial Reporting team is a key part of KPMG's internal finance function , playing a pivotal role in managing the business and is a highly valued part of the finance function .

The team is responsible for Financial Accounting, producing the firm's management accounts, financial reporting, statutory accounts and sits alongside the FP&A team who oversee, budgeting and reforecasting .

The successful candidate will be involved in all areas of the team deliverables.

The work will be varied, and full training and support will be provided.
