Responsibilities

Prepare and present meals in line with dietary guidelines, allergen awareness, and nutritional standards.

Lead or assist kitchen operations ensuring quality, portion control, and efficiency.

Follow HACCP protocols, food hygiene regulations, and infection control policies.

Oversee food storage, stock rotation, and minimise waste.

Work closely with clinical teams and dietitians to meet patient-specific requirements.

Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment.

Requirements

QQI Level 6 in Culinary Arts or equivalent.

Previous experience in hospital catering, HSE chef roles, or high-volume kitchens.

Up-to-date knowledge of cook-chill processes, HACCP, and food safety.

Legal Right to Work in Ireland and Garda Vetting clearance.

Ability to provide 5 years of references.

Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills.

Flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends on a scheduled rota.

Salary & Benefits

€20.29 / hour

Daytime shifts only – rostered between Monday and Sunday

Double Pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays

Full support from our office and out-of-hours teams
