Senior Data & Ai Engineer

Dublin-based, with a hybrid model of 3 days on-site (either in our Dun Laoghaire office or at client locations)

As an experienced Senior Data & AI Engineer, you will be responsible for client interaction, technical design and implementation of ETL solutions at client sites.

You will develop and implement various Data Warehousing and BI projects, implement best practices from ETL architectural design through guiding our clients on best practices around data ingestion and data management.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience in several Data Warehouse technologies as well as experience using the latest Cloud technologies.

We are looking for a self-starter who loves to continually evaluate new technologies, innovate, educate, and collaborate, all to deliver critical services that help our clientssucceed.

You will play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights for our clients.

You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather and analyse complex datasets, and develop clear, compelling visualisations and reports.

You'll support the delivery of datadriven strategies by identifying trends, uncovering opportunities, and enabling smarter decisionmaking.

This role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a passion for turning data into value.

You'll be part of a collaborative team helping clients unlock the full potential of theirdata.

The role will be Dublin-based and will be a mix of remote working, work at our offices in Dun Laoghaire and onsite work at customer sites inDublin.

Required Qualifications / Skills (expectations will vary based on your level of experience) :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or relatedfield
• 5+ years of experience in a Senior Data & AI Engineer or similar role, with People Management experience essential
• Minimum 5 years Development experience in ETL, SQL Programming, systems integration and Data Platform environments, at least 3 years' of which are in Cloud Modern Data Platforms on Microsoft Azure, AWS,GCP
• You have hands-on experience in the analysis, planning, designing, testing, deploying, and administration of complex Cloud BI and Analytics environments
• You have strong experience with Cloud Data Platform Architectures
• Experience in data management frameworks; Data Quality Profiling, Metadata Management, Master Data Management, cleansing / standardising andanalysing
• Experience in manipulating and analysing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying datasources
• Demonstrable experience working with relational database technologies, e.g. MS SQL Server, Teradata, Snowflake, Databricks, Oracle
• Comfortable in the use of Data visualisation software and good understanding of how data model designs influence data visualisation
• A track record of successfully delivering analyticsprojects
• Experience in manipulating and analysing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying datasources
• Proficiency in SQL and one or more analytics language (Python,R)
• Experience with data ingestion technologies, data warehouse concepts (ETL, OLAP, Dimensional Modelling, Star / Snowflake Schemas), and relational databases like SQL Server, Snowflake, orOracle
• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, with exposure to applying AI techniques to data projects or understanding their potentialimpact
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset, capable of translating business needs into techn3ical solutions
• You have strong Data Platform and Data Modelling experience – cloud and on-premise – including OLAP, Star / Snowflake Schemas, Dimensional Data Modelling, Fact & Dimension tables, Physical and Logical DataModelling
• You have awareness of emerging data platform design approaches and the potential future impact to data platform architecture
• You can communicate clearly with business customers and senior leaders translating business requirements to technical specifications
• You can design and develop systems from business requirements analysis through implementation and ongoingsupport.
• You can drive clarity of purpose and goals during release and planning activities.
