Senior Chemical Engineer Limerick

Overview

Our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Limerick, is seeking to recruit a Senior Chemical Engineer.

Purpose : This position is primarily responsible for providing technical support to the production department, with additional support for the maintenance team.

Key areas of focus include :

Crushing and grinding (comminution) equipment

Process performance, including heat transfer applications, material / mass balances, and process design

Kiln performance and quality control

Performance monitoring and continuous process improvement

Health and safety considerations

The role requires a strong technical background and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments across all stages of the production process.

Additional Responsibilities

Support projects and process improvement initiatives

Oversee contractors on designated jobs or projects

Assist with kiln overhauls, project startups, and commissioning activities

Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement improvement programs

Contribute to the development and upkeep of manuals and documented processes

Candidate Profile

Degree or equivalent qualification in Chemical Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant industry experience

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Demonstrated technical expertise and sound business judgement

Project management knowledge and experience
