This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and experienced individual to play a key role in upholding the highest hygiene and food safety standards on site. What we have to offer Hourly rate of £13.70 Permanent role with long-term progression potential Daytime hours, 6.45am - 3.00pm 40 hours per week with weekend rotation Opportunity to work within a well-established and supportive team Your Day to Day as the successful Hygiene Supervisor As Hygiene Supervisor, you will work closely with the Hygiene Manager and take day-to-day responsibility for supervising the hygiene team. You will ensure all cleaning operations are carried out efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with food safety and internal audit standards. The role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a hands-on approach to maintaining an audit-ready site. Key Responsibilities Include : Supervise and coordinate the hygiene team - rota planning, task allocation, holiday cover, and training Ensure all cleaning procedures align with site schedules and hygiene standards Oversee Health & Safety and COSHH compliance within the hygiene team Manage PPE usage, cleaning materials, and stock control Support technical and engineering teams with post-maintenance cleans Deliver hygiene training and assist in onboarding new staff Conduct GMP and hygiene audits, resolving non-conformances swiftly Assist with microbiological investigations and root cause analysis Maintain full audit readiness at all times What You Need to Succeed : Previous experience in a hygiene role within a food manufacturing or similar environment Supervisory or team-leading experience in a production / hygiene setting Good understanding of COSHH regulations and chemical handling Solid grasp of Health & Safety standards Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills Ability to thrive under pressure and meet strict deadlines Desirable (Not Essential) : Level 2 (or higher) Food Hygiene Certificate COSHH Training Certification IOSH Managing Safely or similar H&S qualification Sound like the role for you?
