Production & Logistics Planner

A fast-growing medtech company is seeking a Production & Logistics Planner to join its Operations team. This is a permanent role based in Galway with hybrid working. This role is critical to ensuring smooth production, logistics, and inventory management, supporting the delivery of life-changing medical technology worldwide. The Role You will be responsible for demand planning, production scheduling, capacity management at a contract manufacturer, and outbound logistics coordination. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role with significant cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities Develop demand forecasts in partnership with commercial teams. Coordinate with contract manufacturing partners on raw material procurement, production capacity, and output. Monitor daily production performance and address supply risks proactively. Manage outbound finished goods logistics to the US, optimising sea vs. air freight strategies. Collaborate with warehouses and third-party logistics providers to ensure on-time, cost-effective deliveries. Maintain balanced inventory levels aligned with revenue and safety stock targets. Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and maintain accurate documentation for audits and reporting. About You Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Production Planning, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 2 years experience in production, supply, or demand planning. Strong working knowledge of ERP / MRP systems. Familiarity with FDA medical device regulations and Good Distribution Practices. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
