Job description

Mep Engineer -Dublin

Responsibilities :

  • Support his / her more senior colleagues in the management, integration and delivery of MEP Systems into Projects
  • Support the finalising of MEP services Installation and Commissioning programmes to integrate with the Main Construction Programme.
  • Chairing and recording Minutes of Services Meetings / Workshops with all relevant participants at all Project stages.
  • Support the tracking of Equipment and Plant through each stage from submittal approvals / samples and mock ups / ordering / FATs / Delivery and Quality Checking is carefully managed.
  • Support the Monitoring and Progress of MEP installation and commissioning works on site against the planned progress requirement of the Programme.
  • Support the formal snagging / quality walk downs and associated inspection and sign off of the MEP Installation is taking place in line with the Programme.
  • Support the preparation, issue and approval of Method Statements / RAMS for MEP related matters by the MEP contractors
  • Support the preparation of summary reports and attend Main Project Meetings.
  • Attend and witness on site testing and commissioning demonstrations.
  • Liaise and Interface with the Clients Facilities Teams for Operational Training and soft start.

Requirements :

  • Degree / Diploma in Building Services, or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Alternatively, can demonstrate that they have acquired the same Level of knowledge and understanding of Building Services Engineering fundamentals
  • Typically, 3-4 years + post Qualification experience
  • Can demonstrate that they have acquired the necessary competence through operational involvement in MEP on Construction Projects
  • Has a positive can do attitude who works well with his / her colleagues and can demonstrate that they have acquired appropriate communication, social and people skills necessary to support the running of a Project
  • Understands health and safety policies and practices and has acquired positive safety values and behaviours. Always challenges unsafe work practices.
  • Has knowledge of QMS and or MEP Quality
  • Needs to have the enthusiasm and energy required to identify and follow through on tasks required to help deliver the Project.
  • Is clear and concise, can exhibit excellent listening skills and can articulate points in both written and spoken situations in a way that is appropriate to the audience
  • Has a methodical and practical approach in their working methods
  • Can be depended upon to do what is required and overcomes obstacles on the way.
  • Actively works to continually improve oneself through Continuing Professional development and working towards completing all experiences in the Sisk Learning and Development Programme to the satisfaction of their mentor.
