Financial Controller - Tipperary

My client is a fast-growing Irish Climate Tech company who, due to growth and expansion, are seeking an experiencedFinancial Controllerto join their team. This is a newly created position and the successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening the company's financial operations. Joining a small but growing team, this will be a hands on financial management role. Reporting to senior leadership, you will manage day-to-day accounting, produce accurate and timely financial reporting, oversee payroll and compliance and support the business in financial strategy and decision-making. Core Duties & Responsibilities : Lead all daily accounting operations (Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition) and maintain strong internal controls. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts. Support external accountants in preparing financial statements. Manage payroll, VAT, RCT, corporation tax, and company secretarial filings. Oversee and support the bookkeeper to ensure accurate financial records. Coordinating the management of cash flow, debt and debt collection. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and variance analysis. Liaise with auditors and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Provide strategic financial insights to the management team. Support cross-border regulatory and financial reporting between Ireland and the UK Qualifications & Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred. Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in and end to end finance role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
