Accounting manager - cork

Morgan Mc Kinley has partnered with a large Cork based Accounting practice in the recruitment of an Accounting Manager to join the growing team.

The successful candidate will lead a close-knit team that work with a diverse portfolio of clients providing a full complement of services.

This position is ideal for an experienced Manager that enjoys a client facing role.

Responsibilities : Manage a portfolio of clients.

Preparing working papers and financial statements in accordance with applicable standards and internal procedures.

Leading and conducting audits across a broad client base, in line with auditing standards and best practices.

Preparing corporate and personal tax returns.

Investigating issues identified during engagements and proposing effective solutions.

Developing and maintaining strong, professional relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients.

Delivering high-quality work in a timely, efficient, and professional manner Reviewing team members work, providing training and guidance.

What We're Looking For : Qualified Accountant with experience in an Irish accounting practice.

Strong technical knowledge of current accounting and auditing standards.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and confidently.

A proactive, self-motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience in management or team lead position.

Experience with Xero, Bright AP and Bright Books an advantage.
