Accomodation Manager

The Harbour Hotel is part of the MHL Hotel Collection, a renowned group of stylish, quality-focused hotels across Ireland. Situated in the heart of Galway City, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional guest experiences with a personal touch. We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead and motivate our housekeeping team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction throughout the hotels bedrooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. Key Responsibilities Lead, train, and motivate the housekeeping team to deliver consistent, high-quality standards. Oversee daily operations, including room inspections, public area checks, and linen management. Develop rotas, manage staffing levels, and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Monitor stock levels and control costs while maintaining efficiency. Handle guest feedback professionally and take prompt action to resolve any issues. Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to drive quality and consistency. Contribute to departmental budgeting and cost control. Requirements Previous experience as a Housekeeping Manager or Assistant Manager in a hotel environment. Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate a multicultural team. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle guest feedback effectively. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and housekeeping management systems. Knowledge of Alkimii would be an advantage but not essential. Flexible with working hours, including weekends and holidays as required. What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits.
