With over 140 inpatient beds, this facility offers a rich and diverse caseload – including post-operative, post-surgical, and rehabilitation patients.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist seeking clinical variety, professional growth, and leadership responsibilities in a supportive, well-resourced environment.

You’ll lead clinical decision-making, provide expert assessments and interventions, and contribute meaningfully to both patient outcomes and service development.

You will join a highly supportive and collaborative team, including experienced Senior Occupational Therapists and a highly skilled Occupational Therapy Manager who are on hand to offer mentorship and guidance always.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage your own complex caseload across post-op and post-surgical patients.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments including functional, cognitive, hand therapy, and seating evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualised rehabilitation and discharge plans.
  • Advise on assistive technology and environmental modifications to optimise patient independence.
  • Work closely with patients, families, nursing, medical, and allied health colleagues to create cohesive care plans.
  • Support safe and timely discharges in collaboration with the wider care team.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation, aligned with professional and service standards.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, audits, and clinical governance.
  • Actively participate in service planning and future development projects.
  • Mentor and supervise junior OT staff and students as required.

Eligibility criteria :

  • Hold a recognised qualification BSc or MSc as an Occupational Therapist and have validation of your qualifications if you qualified outside the Republic of Ireland.
  • Minimum 3+ years post-qualification experience, ideally with exposure to older persons, rehab, or post-acute care.
  • Registration with CORU as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience with seating assessments and complex discharge planning is desirable.
  • Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Leadership potential or experience in a similar setting is highly valued.
  • What’s on Offer :

  • Competitive salary of €65,000-€80,000, depending on experience
  • Excellent employee benefits package including pension, sick pay scheme, and CPD allowance
  • Access to mentorship, training, and structured career progression
  • Supportive environment with experienced leadership in place
  • Chance to truly shape patient care and service development in one of Ireland’s most advanced rehab settings.
