Systems Engineer

Our large Manufacturing clientis currently seeking to recruit a Systems Engineer to join its technical team. You will be mainly responsible for providing professional engineering services related to the Siemens PCS7 central control system. You will be based in Drogheda reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. This role requires knowledge of Siemens PCS7 control systems combined with a strong technical background. Key Responsibilities Responsibility for the Siemens PCS7 central control system for Platin Works, acting as the Network Owner for all servers and control system software. Design and programming of software for projects and plant modifications, including fault finding, PID loop set-up and tuning. Commissioning, signal checking, and maintenance of operator stations, plant visualisation software, and coordinating software uploads and upgrades with suppliers. Requirements 5+ year's relevant hands-on experience in industry, together with a degree or similar qualification in a technical engineering related discipline. Expertise with PCS7, Step 7, Simatic Manager, and WinCC, along with experience in Windows operating systems and network configuration. Knowledge of PLC programming languages (CFC, FBD, STL), system archiving / restoration, OT cyber security, and possessing excellent communication and technical skills Randstad encourage applications from individuals of all ages & backgrounds.
