Galway Office

Rent The Runway established its European Technology Hub in Galway in April 2019.

Based in the historic Claddagh area, the growing team tackles core technology challenges and influences the next generation of services critical to Rent The Runway's success and growth.

The Galway office is Rent the Runway's first international office outside the US and enables the company to expand its Software Engineering, Product Development, Machine Learning Engineering and Data Science footprint.

About the Role

As a Front End Engineer at Rent the Runway, you'll work with a team focused on services for e-commerce functionality, customer notifications, and order management.

You value creativity and user experience as much as code and curiosity.

You'll adapt UI to evolving workflows and enhance the UI for customer experience agents using internal tools, while keeping front ends at a high standard of quality and introducing new architectural features to keep applications modern, performant, and maintainable.

What You'll Do

Participate in all aspects of agile software development for the user interface of internal tools powering back-of-house systems

Adapt front end applications to changes in backend APIs

Drive technical projects to success and provide mentorship in a fast-paced startup environment

Collaborate with designers and other teams to refine product features

Work with business stakeholders to identify software solutions to business challenges

Write clean, testable, and efficient code

About You

An eye for responsive design and strong attention to detail

Ability to prioritize tasks and learn new tools and technologies as needed

Experience in a cross-functional development team

Passionate about building innovative products that work behind the scenes

Experience with distributed system performance analysis and optimization

Ability to diagnose and articulate technical challenges and solutions

Ability to manage ambiguous problems and make tradeoffs without compromising quality
