PERMANENT, PART TIME (0.62 wte) CONTRACT

The Ultrasound service is part of a dynamic and growing health care facility catering for the health needs of women at all stages during pregnancy and the postnatal period in addition to gynaecological assessment.

Qualifications and Experience :

Essential Criteria :

Registered Nurse / Midwife or be eligible for registration with NMBI, and

Registered Radiographer / Sonographer or eligible for registration with CORU with diploma in obstetric  ultrasound

Hold a post-Graduate qualification in Ultrasound or other relevant diploma or be committed to undertake such studies within 3 years

Post-registration five years' experience

A minimum of 3 years (recent) experience in obstetrics / gynaecology ultrasound

Skills and Knowledge

Ability to communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary team

Demonstrable experience at managing a team and workload

Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional development, training and research

Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

Experience of working in various models of midwifery care

Mentorship / Preceptorship training
