Senior Planner - Structural Steel Projects

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join a leading structural steel company. This role is office-based but will involve travel to sites across Ireland, the UK, and Europe .

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of contract and project programmes for structural steel projects.

Produce and maintain monthly progress reports, tracking key milestones, resource usage, and productivity.

Monitor project trends and outputs to support strategic planning and enhance the department's knowledge base.

Ensure all scheduling and reporting requirements for tenders and live contracts are delivered to the highest standard.

Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to align planning activities with project goals.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and supply chain partners.

Conduct short- and medium-term planning reviews, providing insights to identify and mitigate risks.

Challenge and evaluate construction methodologies, promoting continuous improvement and optimal project outcomes.

Requirements

Relevant third-level qualification in engineering, construction management, or a related field.

5+ years' experience in project planning within construction or structural steel.

Strong working knowledge of ASTA Power Project, Primavera P6, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
