Job descriptionReviewing and putting into practice the details of Care Plans and Person-Centered Plans for each Service User. Reviewing, regularly, all protocols of care for each Service User in your care. Understanding and facilitating Service Users needs through the use of appropriate communication systems. Assisting each individual in reaching the maximum potential in independence, communication, and personal development. Adhering to all national policies, including (but not limited to) HIQA Standards, HSE policies including any safeguarding policies. Fostering and encouraging independence and initiative and respect the age and status of each Service User. QQI Level 7 / 8 Degree in Social Care / Social Care Studies or equivalent is required Be registered in the social care workers register maintained by the social care workers registration board maintained by CORU Alternatively, Hold a CORU approved social care worker qualification and have applied for CORU registration (evidence of application will be necessary) Hold a BA in social care. A minimum of 2 years post qualification social care experience in the area of intellectual disability is required.
