Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and driven Health & Leisure Gym Manager to lead our team and oversee day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a genuine passion for health and fitness, excellent customer-service skills, and a proven ability to manage staff, membership growth, and facilities to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop the fitness and front-of-house team
• Oversee daily gym operations, class scheduling, and membership services
• Ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and well-maintained
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally
• Maintain compliance with health & safety and industry standards
• Support marketing and promotional initiatives, events, and partnerships
• Implement and enforce health & safety policies (including pool safety operating procedures)
• Ensure all staff training and certifications are up-to-date
• Conduct regular facility risk assessments and emergency drills
• Manage incident reports and operational audits
• Recruit, train, motivate, and supervise staff
• Conduct performance evaluations and continuous development plans
• Foster a positive, professional, and customer-focused culture
• Deliver exceptional member experience and address member needs/feedback
• Help drive membership growth, retention, and community engagement initiatives
• Manage budgets, payroll, and purchasing
• Monitor revenue streams (memberships, classes, programs, PT, retail)
• Track performance KPIs and produce monthly reports
• Work with marketing teams to support promotions and campaigns
