The Organistation : Stewarts Care is a long-established voluntary organisation providing comprehensive community-based services to people with intellectual disabilities in West Dublin, North Kildare and Meath. We support people with a wide range of support needs across residential settings, day services, supported independent living, job advocacy and vocational training. The successful candidate will Operate from Dublin City Centre with travel required to the Greater Dublin Area, this is subject to change depending on the needs of the organisation. Purpose of the Post : The role of the Job Advocate is to support individuals with intellectual disabilities to access and maintain meaningful paid employment. The role involves : Employer recruitment and engagement Job sourcing and matching Providing pre-employment training to supported individuals Identifying and facilitating reasonable accommodations to promote long-term job retention and independence in the workplace Providing initial onsite job supports Candidates must meet the following criteria relevant to the role : Essential : CORU approved Level 7 Degree in Social Care or eligible to register with CORU as a Social Care Worker. Minimum of 1-2 years' experience supporting individuals with disabilities or disadvantaged groups in employment or vocational settings. Knowledge of Supported Employment models and inclusive workplace practices. Desirable : Qualification in Supported Employment, such as Certificate in Supported Employment QQI 7 from Open Training College or equivalent Experience working with employers or in job development roles. Knowledge of Irish disability and social services (e.g. HSE, INTREO, Ability Programme). Full clean driving licence and access to own transport. Skills and Attributes : Flexibility to work across all areas outlined, using own initiative Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to the values of Stewarts Care to improve the lives of the people we support. Commitment to person-centred and rights-based approaches. Ability to work independently and also as part of a wider dynamic team. Organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities. Adaptable and creative in providing supports. Salary and qualifications are in accordance with Department of Health consolidated pay scales. Salary Scale is €40,351-€ 56,650 incl LSI per annum.
