SUMMARY : The EHS Consultant will provide Environmental Health and Safety support for the site in the execution of a number of site projects construction and site equipment upgrades.You will work as part of a number of project teams to ensure all EHS requirements related to the Project works are met in line with legislative and site EHS requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Completion and review of relevant EHS documentation as part of the project.
Provide technical EHS expertise and support to the project team.
Attend the necessary project and site EHS meetings.
Complete regular compliance walkthroughs Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders as required.
Complete relevant risk assessments as per site procedures inclusive of Equipment, Task and Chemical.
Perform job safety compliance inspections including risk and hazard analysis, safe work and operating procedures, written reports and recommendations.
Provide Contractor Management support as per site and legal requirements Develop and provide EHS training as required.
Develop and update relevant EHS procedures as required Liaise with third party EHS specialists in the area of CE, ATEX and Machinery directives.
Support the relevant departments with event investigation and corrective and preventative actions.
Provide support to other safety initiatives as required.
Adhere strictly to cGMP and other rules as laid down by the Company from time to time.
Adhere to safe working practices as set out in the Safety Statement and other company safety rules.
Participate fully in any cross functional training initiatives.
Drive and promote the corporate values of Takeda-ism within the workplace.
Actively foster, in cooperation with other TIL staff, an ethos and culture of safety awareness where safety is accepted as an integral part of the overall business.
Ensure timely completion of all SOP, reading, training and assessment.
Other duties as required and directed by the relevant Manager, or other Officer appointed by the Board of Directors.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS : 3rd level qualification in Occupational Health and Safety Required.
Qualification in Environmental Management desirable.
Qualification in Explosion Management desirable A thorough knowledge of health and safety legislation within Ireland / Europe.
In particular Construction regulations.
Knowledge of environmental legislation for a pharmaceutical facility operating within Ireland / Europe.
Knowledge of Construction regulations desirable Knowledge of CE, ATEX and machinery legislation, and the application of same in relation to purchasing, installing and / or modifications.
Project Management expertise.
The ability to lead and direct others plus the ability to work as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with good ability to produce technical reports.
Willingness to undertake further health and safety training, environmental training, and other training as needed.
