This role is critical in providing high-quality financial advice while managing and supporting a team of four Private Client Consultants, with plans to grow and develop the team further.
The focus will be managing a portfolio of clients with immediate needs, helping to guide and support the team as they grow into future financial planning and wealth advisory roles.
Initially, the Financial Planning Manager will balance both leadership of the team and management of their personal client portfolio, ensuring excellent service delivery.
The role offers the opportunity to grow and further segment the team to focus on clients with primary or immediate needs, with a goal of developing additional teams over time to support these clients.
This structure will allow junior advisers to join and evolve into experienced financial planners and wealth advisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Private Client Consultants, ensuring consistent growth and high performanceConduct regular one-on-one meetings to set objectives, review performance, and provide coaching to improve client service and revenue generationDevelop and implement best practices for financial planning and advisory services within the teamManage team schedules, including holiday approvals and workload distribution, to ensure seamless client serviceIdentify training opportunities to keep the team updated on industry trends and regulatory changesFoster a collaborative and accountable team culture focused on excellenceFacilitate joint client calls and presentations with private client consultantsArrange training and development logisticsAnswer and guide team members on their client technical queries, positioning, and financial plansClient Management & Business Growth Manage and expand a personal portfolio of high-net-worth clients, providing expert financial planning services, including estate planning, investment strategies, retirement planning, and risk managementDrive business growth through a mix of fee-based financial planning and commission-based product recommendations (pensions, investments, and life assurance)Stay updated on market trends, investment opportunities, and legislative changes to provide clients with forward-thinking financial strategiesCollaborate with the Head of Wealth and Financial Planning and Directors of NFPIC to develop strategies that drive client engagement and business growthKnowledge, Skills and / or Abilities : Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills.Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with personal client engagement to drive both team and business growth.Proficiency in financial planning software, particularly VoyantEducation and / or Experience : Certified Financial Planner (CFP)Proficiency in financial planning software, particularly Voyant.A minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.Proven leadership experience in financial advisory or wealth management, with a focus on motivating and developing teams.Tax qualification is desirableFull driver's licenseCertificates, Licenses, Registration : none
