Job description

R.T. Lane Recruitment are currently recruiting for a number of Scientist to work with a Pharmaceutical Company in Meath. This is an 11-month contract with strong potential for extension.

  • Please note that candidates must hold the correct working visa for Ireland as my client cannot offer visa assistance and must be already residing in Ireland

  • Essential Criteria : A degree qualification in a relevant field (Biological Sciences / Engineering), preferable for background in microbiology. A minimum of 1-3 years experience working in a relevant academic or industry field, (Internships and student placements will be considered in lieu of experience). Role and responsibilities : Support Laboratory Operations : Help set up the new laboratory, including equipment qualification, creating SOPs, work instructions, and lab / process setup. Data Management and Reporting : Review and analyse lab data to create batch data reports. Monitor review metrics and prepare quarterly and yearly raw data reports. Stock and Equipment Maintenance : Manage lab inventory, order consumables, and ensure proper storage. Oversee routine cleaning of equipment and maintain laboratory housekeeping standards. Identify ways to improve lab processes. Communication and Collaboration : Respond to requests from internal and external partners or clients. Participate in team meetings and occasionally lead cross-functional meetings. Investigations and Audits : Assist in lab investigations, Root Cause Analysis, and audits (internal and external). Skill Development and Risk Management : Join expert groups to enhance technical expertise. Contribute to risk assessments and stay updated on GMP and regulatory standards (USP, EP, JP). Testing and Innovation : Perform lab support activities such as environmental monitoring, facility testing, method transfers, and laboratory studies. Support innovative solutions for biologics testing. Problem Solving and Teamwork : Solve problems and suggest improvements. Collaborate with global, diverse, and interdisciplinary teams. Training and Leadership : Complete training on time and help train team members. Represent the group in cross-functional meetings. Flexibility and Culture : Adapt to changing business needs, including occasional out-of-hours testing if necessary. Promote team effectiveness and respect diverse perspectives.
