Large Animal Veterinary Surgeon

Cavan Vet Group are looking for a Large Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our wonderful team.

Located on the outskirts of Cavan we are easily accessible from the M3 and just 1.5 hours from Dublin city.

Cavan is a scenic county famous for its lakes and hills, with our lovely Town of Cavan, its hub.

We cover a range of species specializing in cattle and sheep, and have two farm shops in Belturbet and Killeshandra.

Many of our veterinary team are experienced and qualified in both small and farm animal care.

From routine ambulatory work and surgeries to scanning and bull semen testing and our 24 / 7 out of hours service for emergencies, we're here to support local businesses, smallholdings and farm pets.

We strive to deliver a high quality and efficient service to our pet and farm clients, and uphold animal welfare and customer satisfaction in all that we do.

Our large animal work is most frequently farm work - both for cattle and sheep, with a nice mix of both suckler and beef cattle.

The ideal candidate will have experience in both small and large animal practices.

Salary : €50,000 to €75,000, dependent on experience

Rota to work 1 : 4 weekends, with some OOH
