Graduate Quality Engineer

Overview

KOSTAL IRELAND GmbH, is a global manufacturing business which manufactures electronic devices for the automotive industry.

With over 700+ highly skilled people on our team here in Ireland, located in Abbeyfeale in Limerick and Mallow in Cork.

Purpose of the job

Rotational 2yr Programme with 4 six month rotation periods in Production Quality Mallow and Abbeyfeale, Quality Planning, Customer Quality

Key Responsibilities

Statistical techniques such as capability measures, statistical process

Customer manufacturing requirements

Mechanical strain and risk analysis

Problem solving

New product / equipment introduction

Health & Safety of Self and others

Responsibility for environmental issues within your area and ensure all employees are working towards Company environmental targets

Any other duties as assigned by your Supervisor / Manager

Experience

Good understanding of production, engineering and test processes.

Project Management knowledge would be beneficial.

Problem solving ability essential.

Knowledge & Skills

Very good PC skills essential with good knowledge of MS Excel and Powerpoint.

Good presentation skills

Personality Requirements

The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong leadership ability.

Highly motivated person with excellent drive, initiative and time keeping.

Education

Degree in Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronic or Quality Engineering (NFQ Level 8)
