Lighting & Electrical Design Engineer- Hybrid

Matrix Recruitmentis seeking candidates for a Lighting & Electrical Design Engineer for ourclient based in Co. Waterford. This is a hybrid role, with remote work available and onsite presence once per week. You are responsible for designing lighting solutions, working with a collaborative team to deliver functional, sustainable results across commercial and bespoke lighting projects. Your new role Key Responsibilities : Design and develop lighting solutions using DIALux, Relux & AutoCAD Interpret architectural drawings and create technical layouts Ensure compliance with lighting standards and regulations Collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients Support product selection and lighting control system integration What You Need : Degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field. Must have3yrs + lighting design experience (building services or related). Worked on lighting as part of larger building infrastructure projects. Designed lighting integrated into buildings, not just standalone or decorative lighting. Strong skills in DIALux / Relux, AutoCAD, and lighting controls. Knowledge of LED technologies and lighting regulations. Ability to work independently and communicate with remote teams.
