PE Global Healthcare are recruiting for agency Speech & Language Therapists in Meath. Job Requirements Senior Speech and Language Therapist (Childrens Sector) Qualifications & Registration A recognised degree or masters qualification in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent). CORU registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Speech and Language Therapist. Membership of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT) or equivalent professional body is desirable. Postgraduate training or continuing professional development in paediatric speech and language therapy, developmental disorders, or communication interventions is an advantage. Experience A minimum of 35 years post-qualification experience as a Speech and Language Therapist, with substantial experience working with children and young people. Demonstrated experience in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for a range of paediatric communication and swallowing disorders (e.g., developmental language disorder, ASD, dyspraxia, stammering, selective mutism). Experience working within multi-disciplinary or interdisciplinary teams (e.g., occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, teachers, and parents). Proven ability to supervise and mentor junior therapists, therapy assistants, or students. Experience in case management, service planning, and quality improvement initiatives. Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of child development, communication milestones, and evidence-based therapy approaches. Familiarity with national and international frameworks such as the Progressing Disability Services (PDS) model. Excellent assessment, analytical, and clinical reasoning skills. Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate individualised therapy plans. Competence in report writing, documentation, and use of electronic health record systems. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, and professionals. Capacity to manage a caseload efficiently, prioritise competing demands, and maintain professional standards. Personal Attributes Compassionate, child-centred, and family-focused approach.
