Radiographer

Overview

Job Title : Temporary Radiographer.

Location : Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Responsibilities

Perform a wide range of radiographic examinations, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs.

Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and the public.

Maintain accurate patient records and manage imaging data.

Collaborate with medical professionals to interpret imaging results and support patient diagnosis and treatment plans.

Assist in maintaining imaging equipment and troubleshooting technical issues as needed.

Provide compassionate care and support to patients during imaging procedures.

Skills Required

Proficiency in operating radiographic and imaging equipment.

Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.

Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to follow protocols and maintain high standards of practice.

Knowledge of current radiographic techniques and technologies.

Qualifications

Degree in Radiography or related field.

Registration with CORU.

Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Duration : 6 months minimum with potential for extension based on hospital needs.
