Role : Airfreight Coordinator Salary : €35,000 - €45,000 Duration : Permanent Location : Santry, Dublin Airfreight Coordinator Leading international freight forwarder is seeking an experienced Airfreight Coordinator to join its well-established team in North Dublin. This company is known for delivering integrated logistics solutions with a customer-focused approach, and the airfreight division plays a critical role in supporting time-sensitive shipments across global routes. Working as part of a collaborative airfreight team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing both import and export shipments, liaising directly with clients, agents, and airline partners. The role calls for someone who is proactive, detail-focused, and capable of juggling multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional service standards. Whether coordinating customs clearance or arranging last-minute bookings, this is a role where no two days are the same and where initiative and reliability are highly valued. Responsibilities : Oversee end-to-end coordination of airfreight shipments, ensuring timely collection, customs clearance, and delivery Book cargo space with airlines and negotiate competitive rates for both import and export consignments Prepare and process all necessary airfreight documentation including airway bills, commercial invoices, and customs declarations Maintain direct communication with clients, providing shipment updates and resolving any service disruptions efficiently Liaise with overseas partners and internal departments to track and trace shipments from origin to final destination Ensure compliance with IATA regulations, aviation security standards, and customs procedures Accurately enter shipment data into freight management systems and maintain audit-ready records Manage invoicing and cost reconciliation to ensure accurate billing and profitability Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to coordinate last-mile delivery and uplift Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to enhancing service delivery within the airfreight team Requirements : Experience in an airfreight or freight forwarding environment Solid understanding of international logistics, IATA procedures, and customs regulations Proficiency in using freight forwarding and logistics systems such as CargoWise, ASM, or similar Strong communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with customers, airline staff, and internal teams Ability to remain calm and organised in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high levels of service accuracy Flexible approach to working hours, particularly during peak shipping periods Familiarity with Irish and EU customs requirements is highly desirable Valid right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
