Position : Bar Supervisor Location : The Rebel, Ferns, Co.
Wexford Reports to : General Manager / Owner Role Overview The Bar Supervisor will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the bar, ensuring high standards of service, customer satisfaction, and staff performance.
This role combines hands-on bar work with supervisory responsibilities, making it ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service and a welcoming atmosphere.
Supervise, motivate, and support bar staff, leading by example at all times.
Assist with staff training, mentoring, and scheduling.
Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, and hygiene regulations.
Handle customer queries and resolve any complaints in a professional manner.
Monitor stock levels, complete orders, and manage deliveries.
Maintain accurate cash handling, till reconciliation, and banking procedures.
Support management with promotions, events, and new initiatives to drive sales.
Uphold The Rebels standards of service, presentation, and hospitality.
Key Requirements Previous experience in a bar supervisory or senior bartender role.
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of stock control and cash management.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Desirable Experience in staff training and rota management.
Interest in promotions, events, or marketing within a bar environment.
Knowledge of local customer base in Ferns and surrounding areas.
