Information Note - 2024 Annual Audit - PCWs

The CRU accredits price comparison websites (PCWs) that adhere to the CRU Price Comparison Website Accreditation Framework (CRU / 19033).

Currently there are three PCWs accredited by the CRU.

Under the Accreditation Framework, each PCW should employ the services of an independent auditor to conduct the audit.

In 2022, the CRU became aware of challenges arising from this procedure and made the decision to directly procure an independent auditor to conduct an audit of all three PCWs on the CRU's behalf.

Indecon International Economic Consultants was appointed to conduct the 2023 Annual Audit and the 2024 Annual Audit.

The annual audit is appropriate and necessary to ensure that the PCWs continue to meet the principles of accreditation and maintain the highest standards.

Results of the 2023 Annual Audit are published in the papers below.
