Country Medical Director
to join a growing veterinary group operating across Ireland.
This strategic role will lead the ongoing development of
clinical excellence and professional standards
, while representing the clinical voice within the national leadership team.
The successful candidate will work alongside senior business leaders, ensuring veterinary and nursing standards are championed across all areas of the organisation, while aligning with broader business goals.

Key Responsibilities
Shape and implement a clinical strategy that supports both professional development and commercial success
Lead the national Clinical Board and embed a culture of quality, compliance, and innovation
Serve as the final escalation point for professional concerns and clinical client complaints
Provide veterinary expertise across departments including HR, IT, Marketing, and M&A
Represent the business to external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, government, and professional organisations
Collaborate with international peers to align on veterinary standards and cross-border initiatives
Develop and monitor KPIs that drive quality improvement and patient care outcomes
Contribute to external communications and act as a trusted voice within the profession
About the Role

home-based position
with extensive travel across Ireland and some international commitments.
Reporting to the Country CEO, the Country Medical Director plays a pivotal role in
balancing clinical integrity with strategic business leadership

The Ideal Candidate
Qualifications & Registration
MRCVS / VCI Registered Veterinary Surgeon (eligible to practice in Ireland)
Additional qualifications in clinical practice, leadership, or business are desirable
Experience
Proven leadership experience at national or multi-site level
Strong strategic and operational background
Demonstrated ability to influence change and drive clinical improvements
Experience engaging with regulatory or professional bodies
