Identifying commercial activities & offerings outside of traditional channels and establish opportunities from sameParticipate in business development and project initiatives as requiredIdentify and present market growth opportunities with appropriate level of detailed business cases.Other commercial duties may be assigned from time to time in line with the changing needs of the business.The role may require occasional travel and flexibility to work outside standard business hours to support operational and business needs.What you'll need to succeed : Proven track record in achieving budget / targets, in a wholesale environment.Solid understanding of the Pharmaceutical Industry and retail pharmacy.Strong experience in all aspects of relationship management.Experience in incorporating a financial and strategic perspective to procurement policies.Proven analytical skills combined with excellent commercial acumen are essential.High levels of resilience and tenacity.Flexible, innovative approach to work.Excellent communication skills ability to communicate at all business levels, including customer / supplier conferencesAbility to work well under pressure and to work to targets.Good time management and planning skills.Excellent Excel and Power point skillsKnowledge of SAP, PARIS and Awards systems an advantage.About United DrugUnited Drug is Ireland's largest pharmaceutical distribution company and was originally founded by a group of pharmacists in Ballina, Mayo in 1948.
